9-11 The New York City Tragedy
The day that changed everything. Our lifestyles were changed. Government regulations were changed. People’s opinions changed. All it took was for a group of terrorists to plot and act out horrible events. Many people asked why it happened. Others asked how it happened. Conspiracies popped up because of the unexplained events connected to 9-11.
The events that transpired over that horrible day on september eleventh took us all by surprise. That day was our generations’s Pearl Harbor or JFK Assassination. For many Americans and worldwide citizens it was a heart wrenching, emotional day. Even more so for the poor victims and families who went through the devastating morning and afternoon.
Just like the day when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and when Lee Harvey Oswald shot President John F. Kennedy, everyone remembers where they were that dreadful day.
In my case I was at the office in the accounting department and a fellow employee told a group of us that a plane had hit one of New York City’s towers. Then a short bit later she came back into the office with more shocking news. Another plane had flown into the building. At that point we knew we were under attack by someone. We brought in a television into the office and watched the news networks as the day went on. We didn’t find out much more until we arrived home later that evening.
