Metallica
Metallica – This metal band was formed in Los Angeles in 1981. The band includes James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett & Robert Trujillo. Metallica’s present lineup includes founding members and main songwriters James Hetfield and also Lars Ulrich, along with longtime lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo. Former members of the band include guitarist Dave Mustaine, who of course went on to establish Megadeth after his departure from Metallica, as well as bassists Ron McGovney, Cliff Burton, and additionally Jason Newsted.
Metallica first achieved significant commercial success with the launch of their third album, Master of Puppets, in 1986. This album is recognized as one of the heaviest in the metal genre and is often of course regarded as the band’s most finest achievements. Their subsequent album, …And Justice for All (1988), gained Metallica its inaugural and well-earned Grammy Award nomination.
