Texas Senator Ted Cruz rips FBI and DOJ about FBI involvement on January 6th and asks who is Ray Epps? The senator questioned Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olson and FBI executive assistant director Jill Sanborn. Neither individual could answer any of his questions. Why are their answers are always something like “I don’t know the answer to that” or I can’t answer that question right now”. Last week Cruz was rightfully criticized for what he said on the Senate floor. He stated that January 6th was a violent terrorist attack and then had to appear on the Tucker Carlson Show to try to fix the problems that he had made with the statement.
I have one question. Did Ted Cruz purposely say this on the Senate floor last week to set up this conversation with the FBI? Trump followers would now be more focused on Cruz to see if he would continue to say that January 6th was a terrorist attack. Additionally by doing so then more of the public would pay more attention to him and his interviews with government officials. I’m not saying that was the purpose of why he said the controversial statement. But it is a possibility.
